I think a few here are seeing this a broad trial of the QLD government's action versus those of CXY. A trial of broad right vs. wrong, so to speak.

The trial will center around whether CXY failed to report quickly enough. It will be a narrow and focused topic of debate, and the government will win. They get to choose the limits of what will get discussed in court. CXY will probably bring up a lot of things, we as share holders are unfair,inconsistent. But in the end, that won't matter for the results of the court case. Nor will all the complex and important details about how this whole saga has unfolded be reported in any detail in the media.

I am seeing this whole court sage as pre-emptive ass covering behaviour by the gov. Its essentially as "shut up all the stuff ups and move on" threat, and it will work.
