Solar Energy Systems Ltd Named One of Australia's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program attributes appropriate water pumping solutions to its 854 Percent Revenue Growth
Perth, Western Australia, 13 May 2003 –
Solar Energy Systems Ltd has been named one of Australia's fastest growing technology companies in the 2003 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, achieving three-year revenue growth of 854%.
Solar Energy Systems Ltd CEO Anthony Maslin credits the exceptional efforts of SES staff and appropriate technologies with the company's 854 percent revenue growth over the past three years. He said, "We believe SES's Sun Mill solar pumps are the most sustainable water pumping solution for pumping water in remote areas, clearly this result shows Australian farmers support this opinion. Whilst having the right product is a start, the real thing that matters is commercialising that product, for which I would like to thank all of our staff for their exceptional efforts in achieving the growth of the last three years."
"Making the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is an impressive accomplishment, particularly in uncertain economic times, and we at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu congratulate Solar Energy Systems Ltd for attaining this honour," said Ian Thatcher, Leader of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program
Solar Energy Systems Ltd increase in revenues of 854 percent over the three-year period of 2000 to 2002 resulted in a 33rd ranking overall. The average increase in revenues among companies who made the 2003 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 was 299 per cent.
To qualify for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $100,000 in 2000 and $1,000,000 in 2002, must be public or private companies headquartered in Australia; and be "technology companies" defined as a company that develops proprietary technology, manufactures a technology product, or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
