The fuel economy for new v8's are surprisingly good if you don't nail it. On a trip they just lope along sipping around 9/100. I have had 6 Commodores and a Statesman and considering selling my 3yr old VF for a new one as they are such a good car but I probably will save the coin for a new EV instead.
Sad day for the Australian car industry though. Not interested in buying an imported Holden except maybe a Chevy Bolt.
I was at a VW assembly plant in Germany today and they couldn't believe it when I told them the last Aussie built car rolled off the line yesterday.
