"Our capital expenditures were $61.7 million in 2008, $19.5 million in 2009 and $31.2 million in 2010. Capital expenditures are primarily for maintenance to existing facilities."
Further, half the capital expenditure in 2010 comprised spending on ongoing environmental compliance, protection and improvement programs.
Any investment in APG and its technologies would need to be consistent with the scale and purposes of the above capital expenditure program.
Were an investment of the order of $10 million to be made in APG it would absorb over 30% of last year's total capital expenditure. This seems extraordinarily high. The only justification for such a trend breaking investment would be extreme confidence in APG's technology and potential.
I can't see any other reason for doing it. We still await the news however. Surely the ink must have dried by now?
