last night kronos results, page-6

I just sat down and listened to the Kronos webcast, which was on early Tuesday morning.You can listen to it at the Kronos Worldwide website.It was a very upbeat webcast with the major points being that Kronos will continue to raise prices for the foreseeable future, they have significant cash reserves, the future looks extremely positive and that they were/are hoping to purchase Tronox inc.

Some quotes;

"We have significant cash on hand at the moment and expect to generate significant cash flows going forward"

"We reinvest as we always have in our business"

"We do believe there are potential acquisitions for facilities that come on the market and not just Tronox,there are other assets in the western world that may come available".

Tronox has just recently emerged from Chapter 11.It seems that Kronos is cashed up at the moment because of there cash raising last year with a view to purchasing Tronox while it was still under chapter 11.They believe that they still may be able to acquire Tronox and plan to be ready to move if the opportunity arises.
