STX is a different ball game. you wil note that I have focused on core value with BPT and have the 2c resource as the icing on the cake.
STX at this stage is behind BPT on the unconventional space so any valuation will be higly reliant on a positive shale outcome and we need to make big assumptions on funding either by farmout of share issue. I have a small holding in STX but it is really a medium term inv - BPT on the other hand is in the midst of what may be a transformational 12 months. they are still in discussions and receving continuous enquiries, and the more they derisk by drilling and obtaining more detailed info, the more likely a large deal will happen. at this stage a deal or bid for the company is possible at any stage
In summary - i like to do valuations where i can back it up with proven reserves, the shale play i want to be buyng for free even though the upside is massive
