Being a bit premature but just put in an entry for 2011 in one of my yearly charts.
The concept is based on our market making a 25% range of the year end closing price as proposed by GSE1963, a long gone but original member.
The yellow lines are just 25% up and 25% down, while the magenta lines use an adjustable range once the year starts. 25% from the high and 25% from the low.
That's why the magenta lines look wide to start but adjust as we get going.
When the year has a very big range then the lines can pinch or even cross so looks a bit confusing.
After a couple of wild years in 2008 and 2009, I suspected we would once again return to "normal" and it seems so.
You would expect another "normal" year next year, but all these things are just normalizing :-).
