The only reason I can see is that the speculation money were betting for an outcome by the Monday that past whether it was a JV or TO or something of that nature. It was only on Friday that the SP fell significantly and I suspect either the participants knew of the outcome or selling before the news for a quick gain. Now those bought on the recent rally were probably cutting their losses or conserving what little gain they had made. Just my logical opinion because the speed of the rally and sell down was too much of an anomaly for the trading nature of EXT.
