Atheists who have NDEs report experiences that are similar to believers. There's all the same elements - the comforting blackness, the continuation of consciousness outside of the body, the bright light, the life review, meeting guides, being asked or told that they can cross over or come back. etc.
As well as that, they report no judgement from the higher beings that greet them.
