Options are meant to be incentives that are achievable yet encouraging the Board to attain exceptional results for shareholders. I suppose everyone here (besides Meerkat) agreed that for whatever reason the SP should be much higher than now..
With an exercise price of 1.43 times the 5 day average its about 23 cents (provided the current sp does not drop lower). Apart from coughing up the money to exercise them I cant see which part of this incentive is gonna be difficult for the Directors, especially with an exercise period of 4 years. To me this is nothing but freebies. Surely they can set something that is more ambitious yet attainable?
From a shareholder's perspective I would rather issue more options to them but at a higher price.
