The Price Waterhouse Coopers report for LNC on USG from May 2008 states the following requirements for UCG on p.24.
1.) Coal seam depth of 100-600m.
2.) Coal seam thickness of at least 5m.
3.) Ash content less than 60%.
4.) Minimal discontinuities in the seam.
5.) An absence of good quality water aquifers.
I've noticed that the seismic shows that our coal between CBM930001 & Baltimore1 is @ or over 600m deep. I also note that we have very thick coal there (160m @ Baltimore1) & seismic suggests that this thickness continues all the way to CBM930001. Huge resource!
My question regarding this is....
Does the 600m + depth mean that technically this coal can't be utilized for UCG purposes or is the PWC range "100-600m" just to do with economics in which case I expect our very thick coal is going make it worth while going a bit deeper with the UCG process.
