Note that 160m thk coal is in the deeper part of the shelf. The current well - CBM93001 & the one after, I believe are being drilled in the shallow section, as per this I anticipate the seam to thin out. However the main thing is, the basic resource is there.
So after the 2 CBM wells, one should b able to work out the avg thkness, add to that the info collected from the logs, i.e., permeability, porosity. We know that coal gas is predominantly methane, so bit by bit the pieces start to fall in place.
I'd anticipate from the ann'mnts in recent times that JH has been fielding some questions from potential suitors, so no matter where u put y'r fielders, an edge is on its way, hope it doesn't slip away from the CTP cordon.
As for next week, the well is cased till 705m, should have drilled into the Purni coals which they intend to core & test. So say by mid-week wed-thur prepare to test. Hope we dont see the swelling silty conditions.
