I remember Demis Roussos very well, he was a very good Greek Singer, larger than life like Pavarotti.
This song feels a bit hectic, if you know what I mean. The swimming in the sand is very poignant.
Funnily enough I was listening to The Animals version last night. They recorded it just a few months after the band was formed, I find Eric Burdons voice to be wonderfully raw.
