I have read a few reports recently that indicate that MBN will sell laterite nickel. I think that one of the newspaper reports say that a Columbian consortium will visit Santa Rita in the next ten days with a view to buying the laterite nickel.
I did not know that MBN had any laterite. If they have, why weren't they selling it earlier - when the NP was at a reasonable level?
As far as I know the only mention of laterites was in one of the Conference Calls when Maryse said that there was a saprolite cap - and no way was she going to put that material through the plant.
From memory I do not recall MBN ever including laterites in their Resource or Reserve estimates. Can anybody correct me here?
