Hi IO I dare say paths would have crossed , Nickel Laterite community very small for those of us who rode the laterite boom of 90's and 2000's.
Yes they all learn off each others. At Goro we utilised learnings from Ravo and at Ravo learnings were introduced from Murrin and Cawse and when FQM bought Ravo from BHP and did some upgrades ($256Mln from expected $150Mln) learnings from Goro were introduced, after commissioning , back into Ravo. Cawse was the best of the small laterites and probably would have expanded if WMC had not cut off Sul Acid supplies to it and Bulong back in 2006. Cawse always stated that their one clave was only a pilot plant to perfect processing before expanding. I was going to go to the BHP Perl laterite project in Indon with Hatch for the pilot plant build until BHP and the Indon govt partner could not come to agreement on refining process.
