Make sure you don't confuse the acquisition of the Intermedia subsidiaries (Which definitely did go through) with the Intermedia JV.

The rapid growth was due to the acquisition of their subsidiaries and access to those databases.

The JV was supposed to be for the Wayfarer program and also access to the database of the non-acquired Intermedia subsidiaries. We know that the Wayfarer program was produced (as I watched it with my own eyes on the Sky Business channel) so are we assuming BIG just made it by themselves? Also they seemed like good mates, the Intermedia guy was even at the recent BIG AGM last November.

I'm guessing as @xmanrocks suggested above, they are now trying to distance themselves from the negative press. However, to deny the JV completely does seem somewhat strange given the closeness of their relationship and he must have signed the document to setup BIG Intermedia PTY LTD.
