For everyone who listens to anything any broker says when it comes to buying or selling equities. Their recommendations have nothing to do with what they actually think is happening and I would contend that their recommendations are often the opposite from what you really should do...of course not always. Their recommendations are often simply a way to move the herd in a desired direction. The only way you "beat the market" is by 1. Tuning out to anything these shysters "report" or "recommend" by 2. BY DOING YOUR OWN DUE DILIGENCE.
Below is the perfect example for those of you who find it nearly impossible to get passed listening to a person or groups of people that have somehow wedged themselves into a collective definition of "authority". It is a very hard thing to cleanse your mind from this "authority" thinking when it comes to buying and selling stocks, partly because arguments from authority/experts it is a useful heuristic when it comes to quickly weighing up the results from other endeavours such as science where experts are (hopefully more) impartial to what people do with those results.
You don't make the kind of wealth Musk has by listening to brokers.
