Just to add to that it usually takes a lot of research and understanding of the said company that one is shorting.

Its usually large instos that are capable of having the info needed to short a company with a weakness.

Nowadays its so easy to short a share it seems and thats why i think our shorters are just your normal share trader who think they are smart enough to make a dollar.

Which to me means that they know as much about share trading as anyone else and are not at all sophisticated....lol.
