The charts below show that BHP's price has moved above the upper trend line resistance level of the last few months. However repeats of previous rallies are heading into more rarified air! FWIW I sold at in the mid $41 range but still see BHP as an attractive long term investment. It may also be worth noting that the Santa Rally often starts after Dec19.

Chart2: Daily OHLC chart showing a Gann ABC style trade with Risk to Reward Ratio of 3 for a possible long trade [disclosure - one that I am not taking btw]. Note that BHP's price may again gap up following trade in the US overnight [$42.07 open?].

Chart4: Monthly OHLC chart with a 96 month Elliott Wave. Note that the the regression line has been acting as upper trend resistance and has just been pierced.
