    In today's AFR:

"Australia's population growth is heading to near zero per cent for the first time since World War I."

"Treasury has already forecast that net migration is expected to fall significantly. Last month Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that a more than 30 per cent decline in net overseas migration was expected this financial year and an 85 per cent fall was forecast for 2020-21, compared with the 2018-19 level of 240,000 people."

"ANZ head of economics David Plank said lower population growth due to border closures reduced the demand for housing, while increased supply from conversions of holiday rentals to long-term rentals might increase supply."
