Guess stranger things have happened, but trucking the ore all the way to Olympic Dam would eat very heavily into the value of the dirt-then BHP would want their share.
At current copper prices cannot see much return to OZ.
They do have an agreement in place to sell BHP some concentrate once production starts, but that is a completely different set of economics-transporting concentrate at 25-30% Cu cf 1% Cu for ore obviously reduces the tonnage for nearly the same amount of copper, and BHP would still have to concentrate the ore themselves anyway.
