there is too much at stake for both countries to allow the aid program to fail. png cant afford to go without, and australia cant afford to have a failed state to the north. on that basis, i'm sure things will be resolved - only question is when & how.
osh seems to have some skill operating in politically difficult countries. yemen is not without its risks either. yemen has had a civil war in its recent past, and dont forget they also have infidel-hating muslim extremists lurking about the place.
