Currency is a very big headwind for most USD earners at $1.09 and QBE is not immune here but the larger risk to the downside and I think perhaps the reason for today's weakness (market selloff aside) are the violent storms and tornadoes in the south of the US where QBE has significant exposure to catastrophe insurance. As a previous poster mentioned they have eaten through a huge amount of reserves I think closer to 80% and we are only 4 months into the year.
