Nice post Jossette. Agree with many of your points and given todays drop you've timed your exit very nicely.

Did the same and got out last Friday before the Easter break at 19.16. A day and a half too early in hindsight (I.e. did not expect it to reach 19.60 so quickly) but that always happens when you sell!

Had been holding a substantial amount for close to a year and got out just even but collected nice divs along the way. I would have just held to see the price at next ex div date in august but because I'm just about to start building my house saw this as a good opportunity to get out of equities and hold cash. I do see the price chart for qbe as definitely forming a base and starting an upwards trend albeit it will be a bumpy and long ride.

Strong Aussie dollar and indications that fed reserve won't start lifting rates until 2012 did start to concern me a lot. Nevertheless this is a rock solid quality stock to own which is bound to rise greatly once the overseas interest rate cycle reverts back to a more normal setting as economic conditions improve globally, in particular the USA.
