I see Aldi is selling fresh whole chickens for $3 kg.
Just give your dog the whole chook.
You shouldn't need to feed a day or two. It's interesting that dogs as pack animals probably only got a couple of feeds each week and some people feed them twice a day and top up with treats as well.
