You might like to buy a small can of sardines packed in oil, not brine, most dogs seem to love them. A small can I would use over two meals, more as a topping, and they will be helpful if your dog appears constipated or if they have eaten too many bones. They might work with a tablet stuck in them.
Stuff the tablet in the sardine, the dog will be hanging around because of the smell, then accidently pretend to drop it on the floor. My guess is it won't be long there.
I've known so may dogs that are a lot smarter than their owner though.
