Can't see Abbott winning a poll by the end of the year. Perma-stuck behind and the nation starting to get why many internally pre-2013 gave the 'unelectable' label.
Even if he rides through the entitlement/SSM/leadership storms currently, everywhere you look the economy is flashing red;
XJO at below 5400 at peak reporting season and lowest interest rates ever, wage growth lowest on record, Govt debt spiraling, household debt (excuse the pun) through the roof, commodities crashing, business capex declining, AUD at post-GFC lows, unemployment at post-GFC highs.
If he can't win the social narrative and the economic narrative also turning, then what is there left?
