Dave R, we can only guess at how low the Coalition's 2PP support would be if the ALP had a better frontman than Bill Shorten.
Tony Abbott's personal dissatisfaction rating of 61% suggests that there is further downside for the Coalition as mainstream Australians become increasingly spooked by the waterfront sackings, BHP's latest round of sackings, upcoming closures of car manufacturing plants, that massively widening gap between imports and exports and the waste of $101b on WMDs we can apparently afford despite all that talk of debt and deficit disasters.
Abbott's plans were always based on leaving economic recovery to large corporations. Well they're doing the opposite and it's increasingly apparent that Abbott has NO fall-back plan - that just 13 months out from the next election.
Shorten needs to step up to the plate and reveal his plans for our future before the dismay and frustration spirals down into despair and despondency. With official unemployment already at 6.3% and a NO jobs plan in place there is a very real risk Australia is headed into recession under this government.
