0833 [Dow Jones] Blackstone (BX), Citadel Investment of US have flown teams to Australia to discuss buying Centro Properties Group (CNP.AU) stake, Australian Financial Review reports. Struggling to roll over A$3.9 billion maturing debt next month, CNP said yesterday had received expressions of interest from parties that may want to invest in company or buy assets. Centro invited other potential suitors to make pitches. AFR says AMP (AMP.AU), Commonwealth Bank of Australia's (CBA.AU) Colonial First State, DB RREEF Trust (DRT.AU) have expressed interest in Centro. If report correct, seems there's no shortage of interested parties. But key question is at what price they are interested; CNP existing investors will worry price could be well under CNP's latest share price of A$1.04. CNP CEO Andrew Scott couldn't immediately be reached for comment. (RBT)
