The latest news is that KLM has just successfully conducted a test with passengers on one of their fleet with a single engine running on biofuel.
Here is just one of the many releases from around the globe:
http://www.asap.co.uk/news/klm-flies-first-biofuel-flight-5634593.html
The key points in this news item are:
The huge (80%) emission reductions possible by the use of biofuels
The enormous impact the airline industry is having on global CO2 production and how this may accelerate if nothing is done.
The consequential demand for biofuels from renewable sources, is expected to exceed the available supply.
When you think about it, there is really no other option available to the aircraft industry in reducing emissions in the foreseeable future.
All this augers very well for MBT as their new 250K TPA plant is just about on line.
The total production capacity will then be 350K TPA which is around 350 million liters of quality certified biofuel
Just crunch some numbers on that and see what sort of sales figures are possible.
