Ethics approvals are normally the hold up for studies like this. It's now Q1 if FY23 which is from next month. Seems like a 6 month approval delay.

There is a bit for the relevant ethics committees to consider. For example, if the AI detects an issue in a scan where a doctor has previously cleared a patient then how to do handle that? Who do you need to contact and how? What order? Should it go to the same doctor for follow-up or a different one? Its not a patient facing trial but it has real ramifications for people's health. I'm not exactly sure how the study is being run, but you can see how there is a bit to go through to get these approvals. It's not as simple as liking the idea or not. The study may of had to go though multiple rounds of assessment if there were any concerns.
