My 15 y/o twins have braces, and my fiance's 15 y/o daughter has them as well. The one constant in all 3 scenarios is the push from the mums to have them fitted.
On the plus side, my daughter's stint with the braces ended not long ago, with the end result being breathtaking. She's all teeth when she smiles. Just don't put your hand anywhere near her mouth tho
