Asians are not backwards when it comes to portraying themselves as superior.
Noticed why many Asian woman walk around with an umbrella for shade in the sun? It's because they want to avoid darkening their skin as they consider pale skin to be of the upper class (or as they say, dark skin represents low class/slaves, etc - (sorry, not my saying but theirs).
Many Asian women are requesting caesarian births, purely on the belief that only peasants give birth the natural way, a la in the shed with goats and chickens running around.
Noticed many Asians wear reading glasses? Again, a good percentage of spectacles are worn to portray an image of intelligence and, therefore, an image of wealth and power.
But getting back to the topic - I agree today's kids are affected by their diets. The highly precessed, easy to chew foods, are mostly to blame as the mouth is no longer stressed and pushed to the limits as when eating off the bone or very fibrous plant material. As a result, crowding of the teeth occurs with crooked and/or displaced teeth being the new normal.
