    Well AAE's latest "Open Briefing" has been released and if you hold AAE it is probably important that you read it to see what is going on.

    The Beatrice Biodiesel Plant is dues to be commissioned by the end of November. Given the current high Soy Oil prices they would be "breaking even" but Peter Anderton claimed that this plant would be producing Biodiesel 25 to 70 US cents cheaper than existing smaller Biodiesel plants in the US.

    He also mentioned that 60% of the Soy Oil futures are currently held by speculators at the moment, usually this figure is about 20%, but within 3 months they will need to roll their contract positions or cash out over the next three months which will put a downward pressure on price.

    He also mentioned, again, that although a forecase 1.2 billion tonnes of Biodiesel capacity had been planned for construction in the US 2006/2007, only 250 million tonnes had been installed.
