9L - depends on interpretation it seems - what you want to count as 'bear' stretch.... that period from 1930 to 1960's don't look like a bear to me, it's a long recovery phase - from 1933 to 1965 it looks like the 'bear' market almost solidly went up....
anyhow, all I was thinking is that there have been very few 17yr periods when the market didn't recover, and I'm certain that it ain't gonna take 17 years for this crunch to be overwhelmed by more 'irrational exhuberance' well before that time....
looks like it's started already.... lol
