The chief executive quote of the past week goes to Lee Finniear of Metal Storm.

"Not only does it mean we can fire 40mm grenades 500 per cent more rapidly than previously thought, but we can also increase our total explosive firepower before reload by at least 50 per cent over current Metal Storm weapon configurations," he told the ASX last week.

Finniear was also the author of this gem, in a recent bulletin about the Alternative Weapons Summit in Washington: "Like the mock prison riot, this conference was focused on the less-lethal weapons market."
