I don't think you guys understand.
People who buy the bonds, will hedge their risk by shorting the physical shares as it goes closer and closer to the strike price.
The big question is what was the strike price, considering the merger?
It makes sense for someone who is long the bonds to short the stock, as at 5.25% yield and spending 2% on borrow, they are covered at a net 3.25% yield.
