The earnings guidance was only at an EBIT Level, Note that no actual profit guidance has been given, this makes me very concerned about GNC.
The EBIT levels were also based on the assumption that large volumes of grain stored on farm would make its way through the GNC system. This is not likely to happen given the uncompetative pricing of east coast grain markets to world markets and the fact that most export grain is going in containers,w hich bypass the GNC System.
My view is that GNC will fall when they finally release a profit forecase which will be far below expectations.
