The bile and spite is really coming to show now in the Lib side of the HC political thread posters. Shame really.

Some see it as a balance between greed and envy in Buddhist terms, when in fact the Second truth ( in my understanding ) suggests that desire and ignorance lie at the main cause of all suffering. Desire is the craving of wants that cant be satisfied, and ignorance is not seeing the world as it actually is. Vices, such as greed, envy, hatred and anger, derive from this ignorance. So either side in politics is not a different side of Buddhism.

Suggestions that one side is the only side capable of governing forever condemns our children and their children to be stuck effectively into castes. The "we can only govern Australia" one way caste, and the "Surely their is another way " caste.

Some people have a different opinion on how things are done.
The mention of socialism as some kind of evil, brings to mind the fascism of a different era, where similar born to rule , or bred to rule images come to mind. We have moved on from there, but still the old rally cries are used.
Socialism brings to mind for some people here a link to Communism. In the past there were such linkages, but it doesnt work now, as the younger generations look at the use more as a discussion on social justice, and equality.

I have worked in a poor 3rd world country run in a socialist way, and believe me its beats a facist state any day.

So in the last week can we have a bit less bile and venom, cause in about two weeks time, I wouldnt mind arguing , agreeing with some of you about stocks on here.

Just my opinion - Put me on ignore if you want as in the end it is of no consequence.
