Hi Sparkos,
On 25 March, 2021, Sundance announced “it has referred its dispute with the Republic of Congo (“Congo”) toarbitration in London under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce(“ICC”)“.
If we use this announcement date as “The Request for Arbitration” date, then using indicative timings from https://www.international-arbitration-attorney.com/international-arbitration-procedure/ we could expect a response our request for arbitration in about 3.5 weeks and then, possibly, an announcement from Sundance in 4 or 5 weeks. Furthermore, if the case proceeds, we could expect a “Final Award Rendered” date of end of January, 2022. Could be shorter; could be longer.
This is simply all a logical application of the information provided by the website above; I have no professional knowledge of the arbitration process. All I was hoping to do by posting was dispel the conjecture that this “would take years” (i.e., no time-frame provided).
