I know you still need teachers in private schools, and there are some very good quality bright ones around, so I do not mean to be disrespectful to those teachers and the teaching profession as a whole. I just wanted to highlight the fact that many of them in the state system are useless, and in fact damage the whole system. They do not have the stringent selection criteria that private schools have, and generally have a couldn't care less attitude about what they do. I know for a fact that many join the teaching profession because there is nothing else they can do and are unemployable in the commercial world.
