John Brumby actually launched BlueGen, yet failed to mention fuel-cell technology (never mind CFU or BlueGen, which is probably fair enough) when discussing solutions to an impending energy crisis, caused by reduction in emissions of all things ... go figure! (grrrrrr)
>>>>>>
Premier John Brumby sought to play down the prospect of power supply problems under emissions trading, saying "continuing energy security" was one of three main priorities. "In other words, if you turn on a power point, the lights will come on" he said.
"Secondly, I want to see … lower emissions. And thirdly I want to see more investment, particularly in clean-coal technology, in gas, as we're already seeing, and of course in renewables, in solar and wind."

He mentioned solar and wind, although not renewable, fuel-cell technology really should have been mentioned after that, especially given its greater capability (with BlueGen) of both sorting out energy shortfalls and carbon emissions.
Cheers / grrrrrrr (!)
