My (fallible) guess is that LAU's SP drop over the last few days may be partly due to negative sentiment regarding the Oz economy.

Perhaps we may be seeing freight rates per tonne-kilometre not keeping pace with inflation, although the jury's out.

The other aspect is that while LAU transports many 'essentials' such as fruit and veggies, some items may be discretionary purchases (such as chilled products we observe at WOW/COL/MTS' IGAs and so on) and hence vulnerable to Mr and Mrs Consumer becoming stretched or nervous financially speaking.

Nonetheless, the Scott's RF failure gave LAU a bargain expansion when none of us expected such a move. Out of the blue!
