Rail operator Pacific National only runs a dedicated Brisbane to Adelaide (or vice versa) intermodal train twice a week in each direction. At other times loading is attached or detached in Sydney. Some wagons will always be bound for (or the other way, be coming from) Perth.
If you watched the first half of the video below, you'd think 'no LAU railable containers conveyed' but towards the end, eight appear. This strikes me as reasonable, given how these trains are never as long as Melbourne/Sydney to Perth or Brisbane to Melbourne and return ones:
At about 1:09, if you're unfamilair with 'reefer' (refrigerated) containers, there's a good view of an LAU one.
