This train, a Friday early afternoon departure from Melbourne's South Dynon to Kewdale in Perth was previously called the 'Toll train', as it used to have much loading from what's become Team Global Express.

The latter has shifted to using listed AZJ, a move in its early stages.

LAU has nine railable containers at or close to the four locomotives, and a further five near the rear. This train doesn't usually add double-stacked wagons in Adelaide as it's meant to be an express. Easy to see how lAU has become a major Pacific National client, one that it'll want to keep when the initial five year contract LAU signed expires.

However early on Saturday 1 July, a loco on it failed at sleepy Callington, between Murray Bridge and the famous National Park-equippped station of Belair in the Adelaide Hills on the initial section from Melbourne.

By 1356 AEST on Monday 3 July it had passed Koolyanobbing East in Western Australia (a major loading point for listed MRL's iron ore trains to Esperance on the WA coast), so it's more than 15 hours late:

(Ovingham is in the inner northern suburbs: the recently electrified line with the suburban train is broad gauge, unlike the line to Perth (and Darwin) on which our train travels):
