'Mr Market' ensured LAU's SP decreased to A$1.14 after the company announced great results prior to market opening on Monday 28 August 2023.

The well loaded Melbourne to Brisbane intermodal train videod (not very clearly) north of Gosford NSW has six recognisable (liveried) LAU railable reefer (refrigerated) containers.

This train is one of two northbound Tuesday timetabled departures for Pacific National on the MEL-BNE route. Unlike its colleague, it shunts at the Sydney Freight Terminal so some of these LAU containers may have originated in Perth, or less likely, Adelaide: not all may have started their journey in Melbourne.

At 0:40, 0:41, 0:49, 1:07, 1:10 and 1:15, there are containers that have a previous trading name painted over.

At 0:45 and 0:47 we can see two former Rand (division of failed Scott's Refrigerated Transport) railable containers.

At 1:27 a Scott's one appears.

It's possible all (or most) of these are owned by LAU, but have been pressed into service with the company livery to be applied later, the priority being to accept freight consignments and get the consumer goods or produce on the move:


In essence, LAU's presence may be greater than it appears at first glance.
