This is a March 2023 video of a Melbourne to Perth intermodal racing along just south of the major rail facilities at Port Augusta, in South Australia's often dry north.
The crew car immediately behind the locos allows one set of drivers to rest at a time, and removes the need for stays at railway barracks.
Good to see 13 LAU railable containers. It'd be surprising if any were empty as Melbourne manufactures many supermarket and other goods that end up stocked by Western Australian retailers:
