Ok - the righties will cringe - but, if you refuse to look at the message and merely think about the messenger - then you often miss the important part of the story
no matter what people think of Tingle - she's on the money with a couple of things here - and, it's a huge deal for Oz
Surely - both lefties, righties and anyone in the middle can't argue against this bit
"So there will be an inevitable reckoning: we either completely change the nature of our economy, or find a way to go back to the sort of trade we saw in the past."
nb - "...completely change the nature of our economy,.."
and there it is --------- sure, there'll be some who argue that we won't need to do that because we'll find a path back to 1950 ----------- sure, we'll waste heaps of oxygen listening to that sort of stuff -
but, anyone with any thinking capacity at all will know that - that's basically impossible - and, if it did by chance come to pass - then, the route would be totally strewn with death, damage and so much pain that it's basically unthinkable
so - to me ---------------- as many of us have been saying over and over and over -
this is what is not only necessary - but, inevitable
"...completely change the nature of our economy,.."
Ozzies better smarten up and begin to throw out everything they know about our economy and our way of life that drives it --
something new MUST be born ---
and, don't even think we can sit back and nothing will happen -
something new WILL be born ----- if you resist - it will run over you - if you fight the fight to go back - you will have two things happen - 1. you will lose 2. you will be irrelevant
We can forget everything else she wrote -- that one paragraph and concept overrides all --------- our way of life is now forever changed - any who think we're alright jack ------------ are merely living in fools paradise - the ground has shifted
