Great lead article - i dont believe in the massive conspiracy theory as too many ppl involved..however if the kkr and awb "deals" are, in general, not examined for several years after the fact, maybe someone may be ecouraged to try it - especiallyif they knew they were going down anyway.
Have been in India recently - wedding thing - but gold is still too high for most to splash around too much. You still have to do the respectable thing though especially with friends of the family.

Does anyone really know what is india's Au consumption? - i've never thought the official stats are right as the mass secondary market and unofficial imports arent reported properly, how could you?
Also if mother India grows at 5% that equates to a 10-15% g/r in the m/class = gold sales. If you could nail the numbers you could validate the concept
