Exactly. Over-saturated. Majority of people have a Paypal account and will use the Paypal functionality, the same goes for e-commerce stores. The sheer majority of them have already integrated Paypal as a payment option.
Being Australia specific,why would they bother with integrating a new service that has very little traction across the Australian public? Therefore it cannot drive clients/sales to their e-commerce offering. Hard to beat Paypal, Zip and Afterpay simply because they have the client mass, which is very hard to build. What is the differentiation here?
Not a big fan of the "Laybuy" name in Australia either, it reminds me of the 1990s and people going to Bigw or Kmart to Laybuy an item, where they would pay in increments and only receive the item after it was paid in full.
